Despite the pleasant atmosphere, noise from outside disrupted my stay, and security concerns made me uneasy as the doors felt unsecured.

Breakfast exceeded my expectations with a nice homemade vibe. Options included eggs and waffles, and I appreciated the variety. The staff were welcoming and offered helpful local tips during check-in, which made settling in easy. Location-wise, everything was close by and handy for outdoor activities and dining. On the downside, the outside of the building could definitely use some repairs. it looked a bit rundown and the second-level walkway was in need of replacement. Also, there wasn't a closet or hanging space for clothes, which could be a hassle for longer stays. But overall, my experience at Gateway Lodge was enjoyable and I would return for the value and cleanliness.
